Technical specifications and performance features:
The 9NR engine is a turbocharged inline-four engine made of aluminum alloy for the cylinder block
and head complying with the National VI emission standards. It employs direct fuel injection, a
water-cooled intercooler, and a single-scroll turbocharger, along with theVT-iW ultra-wide-angle
variable valve timing system. These technologies enable the engine to excel in power enhancement
and fuel efficiency, making it lighter, more fuel-efficient and more powerful.
Application Models:
The 9NR engine is mainly equipped on Toyota Levin and Corolla. Whether it's the naturally aspirated or
turbo version, both engines are the same in terms of power and torque, and there is no difference in
tuning. Both use 92-octane fuel, high fuel efficiency.
